General Questions

What classes do you offer?


We offer multi levels of Pole classes ( Tricks and Choreography), and aerial classes including, Silks Tricks and Choreography, Lyra Pole (Lollipop), Hoop and Aerial Pole classes. We also offer seasonal workshops as well. Do feel free to follow us on Instagram for the latest updates.




I am new to Pole / Aerial, what class should I begin with?


For complete beginners, we recommend Beginner Pole 1 / Beginner Silks or Hoop 1. These are foundational classes to learn apparatus handling, safety, basic spins and tricks.




I have no exercise or dance background, will I be able to catch up in class?


Our lessons are designed with a gradual progression, your instructor will guide you with exercises to develop bodily awareness and conditioning exercises to help strengthen the muscles and improve fitness. You will definitely see progress with consistent effort!




How long is one term, and what happens if I can’t commit for that duration?


One full term consists of 8 weeks, 1 lesson of 60 min per week. We encourage students to sign up for a full term whenever possible for better continuity and progression. We do offer half term of 4 weeks, and drop in class options for those who are unable to commit the full 8 weeks.




How do I sign up for a course?


Registration of a course is on a first-come-first-served basis. You may register here. Just click on the class you wish to sign up for and follow the steps accordingly. Payment must be made within 24 hours of registration to confirm your slot. Afterwhich, the slot will be released to other students. As a minimum number of participants is required to start each course, the studio reserves the right to cancel or postpone the course until the minimum class size is achieved. In the event of a cancellation, a full refund will be made to those who have made payment.




If I missed a class, am I allowed to book a makeup class?


Make up classes are arranged based on goodwill and on a case by case basis. Please Whatsapp us at 9652 5983 no later than 24 hours after missing a class to inform and make arrangements. We will not entertain accumulated missed classes and last minute requests.
All makeup classes and practice slots are subjected to availability, and have to be consumed within the same term. Students can go to a similar or lower level class for makeup, or attend an open practice session. If you miss your makeup session, it will be forfeited.

What's your refund policy?


Strictly no refunds will be allowed for change of mind unless the cancellation is made by the studio or its instructors. For absenteeism due to injuries or medical reasons, a valid medical certificate (MC) must be presented with the date/ period of absence stated coinciding with the dates of classes missed before we can process a deferment/ refund/ transfer. Deferment, refund, and transfer of credit may be allowed on a case by case basis, strictly on the discretion of the studio. An administration fee of $25 will be imposed for all cases.




What if I have signed up for a course but is unable to continue due to certain factors (injury, pregnancy etc.)


Please inform us of your condition as soon as you can, and provide us with a valid medical certificate (MC) or doctor's note. We will process your request for deferment/ refund/ transfer upon receiving valid documentations with an admin fee of $25.





Trial Classes

Do you have trial classes? How do I book them and how much do they cost?


Yes, we have trial classes available for both pole and aerial. You may check and book a trial here. Each trial class is 60mins. Pole trials are at $10 per pax while Aerial trials are at $25 per pax.




What should I wear for trial classes?


For Pole trials, you can wear exercise shorts and a tank top. For Aerial trials, a pair of leggings and tank top will be recommended.




What can I expect from trial classes?


You will experience basic spins and transitions move, alongside pole handling in our pole trial. For aerial trials, you will be experiencing basic tricks on both silks and hoop.





Practice Sessions

Do you have open practice sessions for pole and aerial? How do I book them?

How much are your practice sessions and how long is each session?


Pole practices are $5 for current term students and $10 for open public. Aerial practice sessions are at $15.




I have booked the session but I cannot make it. Can it be refunded?


If you are unable to attend the session, please inform us at 9652 5983 no later than 12 hours before the session to arrange for an alternative slot. If we do not hear from you by then, the session will be forfeited.





Safety & Risk Acknowledgement 

 

1. Participants should participate in the activities only if he/she fully understands his/her own physical abilities and that he/she is fit to do so. Participants agree to consult the doctor to be certified fit to participate should there be any previous medical histories /injuries that may result in jeopardy of the condition.

 

2. It is the responsibility of all participants to advise the studio of any health conditions. The studio reserves the right to turn away a participant who has fever, or any symptom of communicable and contagious diseases. 

 

3. Participants attending classes at Acro Polates do so entirely at their own risk. Acro Polates shall NOT be liable for any injuries or illness or death sustained by participants directly or indirectly relating to, or as a result of his/her participation in the lessons, training sessions, or events conducted, organized, participated by the studio. 

 

4. The participant agrees NOT  to practice any new moves without proper guidance or supervision. 

 

5. The participant agrees NOT  to hold the studio liable for any loss of personal belongings.
